How we handle information when you visit our website or get in touch.
This Privacy Policy describes how Vertical Computer Inc. (“Vertical”, “we”, or “us”) handles personal information in connection with this website and business enquiries.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to visitors to our website and people who communicate with us about our business. Customer workloads, service data, and information processed on a customer’s behalf are governed by the relevant customer agreement and any applicable data processing terms.
Information we receive
- Information you provide. If you contact us, we may receive your name, work email, company, role, and the details you choose to share.
- Technical information. Delivering the website involves processing information such as your IP address, browser, requested pages, and request times. Hosting and delivery providers may retain logs for operations and security.
- Business correspondence. We may keep a record of our conversations and the information needed to respond to your request.
Please do not send passwords, payment card details, customer datasets, or other sensitive information through a general business enquiry.
How information is used
We use information to respond to enquiries, discuss potential services, operate the website, investigate technical issues, prevent misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Where a legal basis is required, the basis depends on the interaction: taking steps you request before a contract, meeting a legal obligation, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business, or your consent where required. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.
Cookies and external resources
We use PostHog to understand page visits and interactions with the website, including hardware selections and completed calendar bookings, and to investigate browser errors. PostHog uses cookies and local storage to recognise repeat visits. Our booking analytics records the type of booking, without copying the details you enter into the calendar. See PostHog’s privacy policy for its handling of information.
The website loads typefaces from Fontshare, so your browser sends technical request information to that provider. Hosting and security services may also process request information when delivering the site.
The Book a Factory and Join Vertical pages embed Cal.com for meeting scheduling. Loading the calendar sends technical request information to Cal.com; when you book, the information you enter is processed by Cal.com and shared with the meeting organiser. Cal.com’s privacy policy describes its handling of that information and any cookies or similar technologies it uses.
You can manage cookies and site storage in your browser. Website analytics respects your browser’s Do Not Track setting when it is enabled.
When information is shared
Information may be shared with providers supporting website delivery and business communications, professional advisers, or authorities where disclosure is legally required. It may also be disclosed as part of a business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
This website does not provide a facility for selling personal information or sharing it with advertising networks.
Retention and international processing
Retention depends on why information was collected, the status of our business relationship, and legal, accounting, or security needs. Information should be deleted or de-identified when it is no longer needed for those purposes.
Vertical is based in the United States. Providers may process information in other countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those requirements apply to the relevant processing.
Your privacy choices
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to processing; or withdraw consent. You may also have a right to complain to a privacy regulator.
Contact your existing Vertical representative to make a request. Describe the information or interaction involved, but do not include sensitive identification documents in your first message. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Updates and questions
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
We may update this policy as the website or our practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. For questions about this policy, contact your existing Vertical representative.
